Amsterdam in 3 days!

Chris Brown punches Rihanna, JT performs on the Grammy's. That's my kind of day.

Can you believe that terrible fire in Australia? It killed so many people :(

Not much going on today, just trying to figure out spring break plans and do some work. It's getting difficult because we all want to go everywhere and no one can make up their mind.
Here are some random pictures I found on my computer. I didn't take the second one, but I took the first one!

But!! I am going to Amsterdam in 3 days and am extremely excited!

Love you all!
P.S. everyone follows their sentences with X here, I guess like hugs? Weird.

T.A.G. and Citations.

I really don't know how I'm going to begin with the day I just had.
3:oo am. Wake up. Need to catch the train. Cut my finger on this stupid peanut thing. Mom, remember when you cut your finger on that soup can, I pretty much did the same thing on this peanut can.

When we call to get a cab, they say no because the roads are bad and everyone is out taking people home already (People stay out really late here). It wasn't even snowing outside!!!

8:00am On the train foreverrrr. I get a citation!! I had my feet on this bar of the seat in front of me and apparently that's illegal in England so some transport dude came and gave me a ticket. I have to call on Monday and figure out the details.
10:00am Feel awfully sick and want to go home already.

11:00am-1:00pm Get a kickass tour from some lady who shows us lots of Beatles stuff. I have this video that I want to post and maybe my computer will post it sometime. However, during the tour, I hear a SPLAT! Then I felt the SPLAT! ...And a bird pooped right on my new hat.

1:30pm Get sick in some restaurant and get annoyed at annoying stuff.

3:00pm See this cool soccer game with cute players and intense fans. Had to use the bathroom and it was grimey though.

5:00pm Have to leave the game early to catch the train. By this point I am ready to leave anyway.
11:00pm. Finally get back from the train. The train rides on the way home were really awesome. Met an adorable rugby player from North England, who has the same name as the guy from Little Britain, but it Welsh. haha.
I also watched this dad play this hilarious game with his daughter about trading cards and receipts and he was making really silly jokes; I also listened to music-therefore doing no work.
11:30pm Our cab driver is playing and singing Pink Floyd on the way home. Thought you'd like that one mom.

I know that there was so much more detail than that but that's all I have for now. Here are some pictures from this eventful day-in no particular order. Actually, they are out of order.

It's Not Always Sunny in Wales

Today was a nice sunny day. It's about 7:30, and I'm getting ready to get some sleep because I'm catching a train to liverpool at around 4 am tomorrow morning: which means I need to be out of here by 3:30. I went to class and took some pictures on the beach today. That was about it. I tried to plan spring break and hopefully that will come together soon. While wandering today, I thought of two fundamental sociological topics I would like to look into:

1. The way people walk. I think this tells a lot about someone, not only about them, but about their life. You see the physical aspects, but I also think this tells more than this.

2. I can't remember the second one anymore but I swear it was really good.

I think I'm going to do my Senior Thesis on why babies laugh so hard. Why do babies laugh so hard?

Hopefully I will be able to upload videos sometime soon, this computer is annoying and takes forever to do anything. It's like the Slowski's.

Right Here

I woke up super late and basically am a sloth for sleeping so much. I got some errands done, mailed some things, and went to the beach for a moment. Here are some pictures. It's about lunchtime, so I have orientation (my last one, yay!) from like 2-3. Afterwards I think I will go swim in the super big 50 meter pool! I want to take pictures of it but you aren't allowed to take pictures in there because there's like, kids everywhere and all of that copyright stuff. It's the same at the Y. Anyway, here are some pictures of my school and such from today.

By the way, I think I will begin to invent this hairspray that will hold hair in place in Wales. It is so windy, that it is virtually impossible to do so. A mighty task for a timid town.

578

So it's 5 pm, on a Tuesday, and I'm eating cookies and drinking chocolate milk. And I have not done a thing today. 578 Schools in Wales were closed today. There was probably about 4 (at most) inches of snow on the ground and basically the whole UK shut down. Trains weren't running, classes were cancelled; even the dining halls were closed. The library was closed too. You would have thought something really crazy happened. At 2 I looked outside and all of the snow was melted and it was sunny.

However, I'm not complaining, because I stayed in and caught up on much needed sleep for the day.

In other news....oh wait, there is no other news because the whole country shut down!

Snow in Swansea

It's my first Snow Day in Wales! It doesn't really snow here so when it does people get all crazy and have no idea what to do so everything closes. It's really not even that bad. My first class was cancelled though and I got to lay in my bed and it was excellent! Let's see how the rest of the day goes....

Windsor Castle and Oxford in Snow

Hello All!

Here's a little update on my weekend:
I went to Oxford on Friday so I would have an easy commute to London/Windsor on Saturday. Well, it was not such an easy commute because the railways were under construction so I was delayed. I was on the train to London when the sun came up and it was really beautiful. However I did make it to London on time! I went to Windsor Castle on Saturday, it was really nice. It's a really big castle and the chapel in it is amazing. However, you can't take pictures in there. (It figures you can never take pictures in the places you actually want to). One of my friends was on his phone in the castle and some guy that worked there came over and told him they were going to put him in the dungeon if he didn't get off. haha.

Anyway, we went to a pub for lunch, and I came back to London to pick up some cheap Pashmina scarves. Everyone wears them here. I got 3 for 5 pounds (like 7 dollars); I got a green, yellow, and blue one!

Afterwards I made it back to Oxford and read some for school on Saturday night. Then Sunday I watched the superbowl (it wasn't on here until like 1 in the morning) and basically just hung around. Hiroki got really sick the next day so after playing mom I ended up going to his lecture for him and getting the handout;I went into this really nice school and pretended I was an Oxford student. It snowed here so we went up to this church with this tower and it overlooked the whole city and was really pretty. But I forgot the camera (story of my life), so I don't have any pictures. All of the trains were delayed home because of the snow so I got in around 5.

Now I am here!
